YouthWrite Society Canada, a non-profit organization, is proud to offer multidisciplinary camps for aspiring young artists in both Calgary and Edmonton. As a first-time initiative, they have partnered with the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers to launch Write 2 Film, a filmmaking day camp for you creatives aged 14-19! Write 2 Film is a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience for creative youth to gain first-hand experience in filmmaking.
Write 2 Film is the perfect opportunity for young creatives with interests in front of and behind the camera a chance to collaborate on a short film from start to finish, starting with brainstorming ideas and writing a screenplay to finish with a screening of the final film. Their process will be supported by a team of professional screenwriters, cinematographers, editors, actors, musicians and more!

Dates: July 14th - July 19th, 2024
- July 14th is Orientation.
- Day camp every day from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. (Monday to Friday.)

- *If you are coming in from outside Calgary and are 18+, you may be able to stay overnight at the facility and can book your stay and food with the facility, which would be an extra cost paid to them. Please email info@youthwrite.com if you'd like more information about this option.
