Meet Our Staff
Andrew was given a Polaroid 600 at age 9 and quickly became the official photographer at his family's various get-togethers. His condition has only worsened since then. He's spent years working for small publications in Lethbridge and Edmonton, shooting nearly every genre under the sun, using cameras of all brands, yet he still inexplicably prefers his Pentax gear. If you see him, please offer your condolences.
Annabeth has been obsessed with all corners of visual arts since the age of 9 after being heavily influenced by her cinephile father. After attending the International Film School of Paris with a major in Cinematography, she solidified her love for photography and videography. She believes that these mediums are the most powerful and meaningful ways to not only create community and ease the pain of the world but force people into feeling an emotion they otherwise wouldn’t, pushing past the mundanities of everyday life.
Christopher Donovan is a Calgary-based photographer who works in a variety of genres and formats. A graduate of the AUarts Media Arts program Christopher has experience ranging from video production to sound design. A dedicated film shooter, Christopher is always happy to chat about sheet film, giant cameras, and photo books.
General Sales and TCSTV Host
Dave is one of the hosts of The Camera Store's popular Youtube channel TCSTV. For ages he has been involved with all things photography, even owning a mini-lab long before the days of digital. When he is not out testing the latest and greatest new gear he is working freelance and is also the official photographer of two fitness organisations.
In addition to being a dedicated video specialist, Drew is also TCSTV's Videographer and Editor. His background in Television Production provides a solid foundation for capturing the hosts and the gear, not just in the field but live from the store. When he’s not behind the scenes and screens, Drew enjoys casting Esports, hiking in the mountains, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends.
Liz grew up in Ontario and has been interested in photography for most of her life. She would "borrow" her dad's camera to bring to school, or local concerts on a regular basis. When she was a teenager, she discovered an old Polaroid camera and her love for instant cameras began. Liz can usually be found lounging with her cats, drinking a craft beer, and cross stitching in her spare time.
Erin became serious about photography on a 4 month backpacking trip around Europe, and soon after her return took a few photography courses at both SAIT and ACAD, and started working at a one hour photo lab where she was able to fine tune her skills.

Jayme is a born and raised Calgarian, aggressively influenced by her friends and family members with in-depth photography skills. After an extended period of time in the theatre business, she learned that headshots went a long way when you're friends with a lot of actors, thus a photography business came to bloom. She looks forward to finding the perfect "photogra-fit" for you and making sure that you are smiling as much behind your camera as you would in front of it.
Commercial Accounts Manager
Jeff had been a studio portrait and wedding photographer for over 30 years and currently works as a photographer in the Calgary Theatre community. He has been a Commercial Account Manager in photographic equipment sales for the past 12 years, at various stores, and now here at The Camera Store. His other interests include listening to music and going out to live music, great food, cooking, and outdoor activities.
Julian has previously worked as an editorial, commercial, and movie still photographer. Now as a partner in The Camera Store, his time is divided between the store, his family, and his photography, which revolves around his horses, dogs, and his life in rural Alberta.
Liam values photography for its immersive, meditative qualities. To be on a walk with a camera — whether analog or digital — and a single prime lens is what he enjoys most. Aimless wandering aside, Liam has had applied experience photographing menswear products and marketing campaigns for his own former business, a practice that he intends to revisit someday.
Louie used the camera to get out of his shell in high school and progressed to the position of Photo Editor at the U of C newspaper, The Gauntlet. He now applies his journalistic style of photography to event coverage and serves as a stringer for The National Observer. Vintage cameras, vacuuming, and carbonated water round out his normal human interests. Louie has a passion for timepieces and is what the internet calls a "Watch Idiot Savant."
Mark became interested in the art of photography at a young age, spending hours poring over old issues of National Geographic from his grandparents. Deciding against any kind of photographic career, Mark carries on as an enthusiast, keeping the art form pure and personal to his own visions.
Nicole has a penchant for portrait and architectural work, but her true passion is capturing the natural world. While studying Photojournalism at SAIT she worked as Photo Editor of the campus newspaper, The Weal. When she’s not helping clients at The Camera Store, she keeps busy by pursuing freelance photographic opportunities.
Peter Gold is a master photographer who has been a professional for over 40 years. As well as being on the sales staff of The Camera Store for 15 years, he is also the studio specialist offering valuable information regarding lighting, meters, studio design and setup, backgrounds, etc.
