Outperform With The New Nikon Z6 III

Exceptionally versatile. Remarkably capable. Incredibly powerful. It's taking photography and videography to new heights, performing beyond all expectations. It's the brand new Nikon Z6 III! Standing in a class of its own, this 24.5MP full-frame mirrorless camera is the world’s first camera with a partially-stacked CMOS sensor, delivering blistering-fast readout for exceptionally high frame rates for both photo and video. Bringing a viewfinder experience unlike any other with the brightest EVF of any mirrorless camera, a unique new sensor design and EXPEED 7 image processing engine, exceptional pro-level features for both video and stills, an impressively fast and highly advanced multi-subject detection AF system, the Nikon Z6 III is one for the books!

Ready to outperform with unmatched features, the Nikon Z6 III is the world's first mirrorless camera with a partially-stacked sensor. This sensor design includes multiple high-speed processing circuits stacked in layers above and below the imaging area of the sensor, which in combination with the same EXPEED 7 processing engine, provides a high-speed readout. Even in challenging light, the upgraded autofocus, which is 20% faster than the Z6 II, is exceptionally fast and accurate. Competing with flagship-level cameras, the Z6 III's AF detection range has been extended to an incredible −10 EV, making it easier than ever to focus in dark situations like nighttime sports or an event reception.

Building off the technology of its predecessors, the Z6 III's advanced subject detection automatically detects nine subject types, including people, animals, and various vehicles. Users can lock onto these subjects with advanced AF modes including 3D-tracking, Auto-area AF, Wide-area AF, and Dynamic-area AF. As well, custom wide-area AF patterns allow users to detect and track subjects within a custom-designated area.

Photographers can relax knowing they will never miss a shot with Z6 III's pre-release capture of up to 120 fps. This powerful feature allows the Z6 III to capture lightning-fast moments such as the moment a bird takes flight, a game-winning goal, or even an actual lightning strike. A half-press of the shutter-release button starts buffering images, and when the shutter is pressed all the way, the Z6 III saves images taken up to one second prior. As for videographers, the Z6 III is capable of capturing 12-bit 6K/60p N-RAW and 6K/30p ProRes RAW, as well as 10-bit 5.4K ProRes 422 and H.265 video formats. This allows filmmakers the freedom to crop, trim, track and stabilize a 4K timeline in post while maintaining super high-resolution footage. Furthermore, filmmakers can take advantage of the Z6 III’s maximum video resolution of 6K to create oversampled 4K UHD/60p video footage. Plus, the efficient heat-dissipating design allows continuous 4K UHD/60p recording for up to 125 min., without worry of overheating. The Z6 III can also capture dramatic slow-motion footage up to 10× with 10-bit Full HD/240p H.265 video recording.

With a wide native ISO range of 100-64,000 (51,200 in video) that is expandable to 204,800, the Z6 III excels at ultra-low-light shooting. The EXPEED 7 image processing engine enables tailored noise reduction, effectively minimizing grainy noise in flat areas of the image while preserving fine details in subjects such as buildings, resulting in sharper, clearer images in low-light environments. Users can also enjoy the creative freedom of slower shutter speeds while keeping subjects sharp and using lower ISOs with the built-in 5-axis image stabilization. Delivering up to 8.0 stops of Vibration Reduction, photographers and videographers are easily able to shoot handheld with confidence. As well, the Z6 III features Focus Point VR7, which prioritizes stabilization on the active focus point.

Boasting the title of brightest EVF of any mirrorless camera, the Z6 III's 5,760k-dot electronic viewfinder with 4,000 cd/m2 (nits) provides a clear, detailed view even in extremely bright outdoor situations while minimizing viewfinder blackout. The Z6 III is also the first mirrorless camera to support a DCI-P3 equivalent colour gamut in the EVF, which allows creatives to see a more lifelike display of colours.

Additional features of the Nikon Z6 III include High-Resolution Pixel Shift Mode and Flexible Colour Picture Control. In Pixel Shift, the sensor is subtly shifted across 4, 8, 16, or 32 exposures, for increased colour and detail with an incredibly high resolution of up to approx. 96MP. The new Flexible Colour Picture Control feature supported in NX Studio allows creatives to optimize the software’s powerful Colour Blender and Colour Grading features to create custom presets that can be uploaded to the camera as Custom Picture Controls.

Weighing only 757.5 Grams (1.67 lbs) with a battery and memory card, the Nikon Z6 III is constructed from magnesium alloy and Sereebo® material for maximum durability with minimal weight. Despite its low weight, the Nikon Z6 III has a beautiful 3.2rear LCD touchscreen that can be used as a front-facing screen for video production and self-recording, as well as framing at a low angle. The Z6 III is sealed against dust and moisture to the same level as the Z8 and is rated for operation down to −10°C (14°F), making it ready no matter the harsh environment or conditions.
