The new SIGMA Aizu Prime Line maintains a uniform T1.3 aperture across all focal lengths, enabling an exceptionally shallow depth of field and elegant bokeh. This feature effortlessly isolates the subject while preserving a natural sense of depth and dimension, creating a subtle yet impactful presence. Each lens features an optical system developed exclusively for cinematic applications, producing a natural, organic look while preserving modern sharpness and minimizing both distortion and focus breathing.
The Aizu Prime Line is engineered as a comprehensive system to cover a broad spectrum of focal lengths from 18mm to 125mm. Initially, the collection will feature eight core lenses, ranging from 25mm to 75mm, followed by the addition of 18mm and 21mm wide-angle lenses, as well as 100mm and 125mm telephoto lenses. This extensive range, spanning from ultra-wide-angle to telephoto, provides users with a broad selection for various visual expressions. To ensure cohesion throughout the lineup, the lenses will be designed with consistent colour balance, contrast, and flare characteristics, ensuring seamless integration between scenes and achieving a high level of harmony within the visual narrative. Additionally, the short minimum focusing distance enables impressive close-up shots, while the large φ46.3mm image circle guarantees full coverage for not only full-frame and Super 35 formats but also the latest large-format cameras.
Despite being crafted for large-format coverage and featuring an ultra-fast T1.3 aperture, the Aizu Prime lenses remain impressively lightweight. This rare combination of exceptional speed and mobility provides the flexibility and creative freedom essential for modern productions. Even with a compact design, these lenses offer precise control, outstanding durability, and ease of maintenance.
