The Wimberley AP-551 Replacement Foot is a professional-grade, black anodized 6061 aluminum foot that features a double dovetail design, compatible with Arca-type accessories. It serves as an ideal replacement for the original lens foot on the AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR I and II, the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR I and II, and the AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/4E FL ED VR lenses. This lightweight and durable option offers a lower center of gravity and better balance compared to the original foot supplied with the lens.
The lower profile of the foot reduces flex and vibrations transferred to the lens. Also, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 sockets have been provided for tripod heads that do not have a compatible Arca-type clamp, and dual safety stops are included to prevent accidental sliding if a clamp is partially open.
