Building on the legacy of its predecessor, the popular Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3, the new Canon TC-N3 provides Timer Remote Control support for cameras equipped with N3 remote terminals helping to eliminate camera shake in specialized photography. It combines the precise exposure and long-interval automation of the TC-80N3 with a larger backlit display, a new clock function for scheduled shooting, a tripod socket for convenient mounting, a dedicated power button, and standard AAA battery power.
Working Remotely
A remote controller is an essential tool for mirrorless and DSLR photographers and videographers seeking maximum stability and tack-sharp images across a wide range of applications—from astrophotography, macro shots, and long-exposure night scenes to studio recording and time-lapse projects. Just like traditional mechanical cable releases, modern remote controls allow you to trigger the shutter without touching the tripod-mounted camera, eliminating the subtle vibrations caused by a finger press and ensuring razor-sharp results at any shutter speed, while built-in advanced timer functions open up even greater creative control.
All About Timing
Designed for advanced automation, these remote controllers feature a versatile suite of stackable timing functions: a Self-Timer that delays shooting up to nearly 100 hours; an Interval Timer spanning from 1 second to over 4 days apart for time-lapses; a Long Exposure Timer for precise Bulb-mode control up to 99+ hours; a Shot Count selector for 1 to 9,999 exposures (or continuous shooting); and the new Time Setting Shooting feature, which lets you schedule exact start and end times of day to automatically trigger your camera or video recording.
