Full-frame sensor with 61MP

Employs a back-illuminated 35mm full-frame image sensor with approx. 61 effective megapixels.Full-size mirrorless smallest and lightest body equipped with a high pixel sensor with the highest resolution in its class.

L-Mount

The SIGMA fp series use the L-Mount, characterized by a short flange focal length, large diameter, and superior durability. Thanks to the L-Mount Alliance, L-Mount lenses from Leica Camera AG and Panasonic Corporation can also be used on the SIGMA fp series, realizing a camera system with great scalability. Furthermore, SIGMA SA mount lenses designed for previous lines of SIGMA cameras from one's lens investment on the L-Mount by applying the SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-21.

Equipped with optical low-pass filter

It is equipped with a low-pass filter that optimizes the balance between the low-pass effect and resolution required for a 61 megapixels sensor, and suppresses the occurrence of moire and color artifacts.

Supports USB power supply

Power can be supplied directly via USB-C while the camera is running. Continuous shooting is possible without worrying about the battery. It supports a wide range of power supply options and enables long-time shooting without any restrictions.

External electronic viewfinder EVF-11 (optional)

Newly developed external electronic viewfinder exclusively for the fp series. 0.5 inch OLED panel adopted, approximately 3.68 M dots, viewfinder coverage approximately 100%. The high-resolution, high-brightness viewfinder provides an immersive feeling and improved shooting comfort as an expansion gear of the series.

Save / Load Settings

A new Save / Load Settings has been added that allows users to convert shooting setting information into a QR code and share it with other people. Users can optionally save all of the SHOOT26 items and SYSTEM14 items in the menu. By sharing the QR code, other users can easily register it on their camera, so they will be able to share the "recipe of the work" with many people via social media.

In addition to STILL mode and CINE mode, this function allows you to capture the screen of the LCD monitor as it is, regardless of whether it is in the director's viewfinder mode or the menu is displayed. It will be able to record the shooting settings in one photo.

Independent UIs

Going instantly from the STILL mode to the CINE mode at the touch of a switch. Each mode comes with a dedicated control system and screen display, making it possible to check information and displays on the screen that is necessary for specific scenes.

LCD screen

The 3.15-inch (3:2) liquid-crystal display is complete with a touch screen, for intuitive operation.

Large Heat Sink

Designed and inspired by those used on professional cinema cameras, a large-size magnesium heat sink is mounted between the LCD and camera body. This achieves highly effective heat dissipation and prevents overheating at high temperatures or in long hours of use.

QS button

Camera functions that one uses most often can be allocated to the Quick Set menu, complete with the QS (Quick Set) button to access the menu.

TONE button

This button gives a quick access to the Tone Control menu.

COLOR button

This button gives a quick access to the Color Mode menu.

Dust- & splash-proof structure

The SIGMA fp series is protected with the dust- and splash-proof sealing on a total of 42 points over the camera’s body. When combined with a dust- and splash-proof lens, the SIGMA fp series will be ready for shooting in any environment.

Aluminum body

A body covered with die-cast aluminum on the front and the back ensures superior robustness and heat dissipation while keeping the body weight light.

External power supply

By using a DC connector (CN-21) (optional), the SIGMA fp series can be powered from an AC power adaptor or a V-mount battery plate.

Full-time electronic shutter

The SIGMA fp series employ a full-time electronic shutter, enabling it to shoot virtually without sound, and no camera shake due to shutter shock. Even when shooting in quick succession at a frame rate of 18 frames/sec. for fp and 10 frames/sec. for fp L, it eliminates the tiniest of shakes. In addition, as opposed to conventional mechanical shutters, it does not cause irregularities on the screen display in a high-speed shutter setting. Furthermore, the absence of a mechanical shutter makes the SIGMA fp series' camera structure simpler, which in turn improves its reliability as a camera.

Hybrid AF

In addition to high-precision contrast AF, it uses image plane phase-difference AF with excellent speed. Hybrid AF enables comfortable autofocus shooting with high accuracy, high speed, and high followability to moving objects (compatible with both STILL and CINE modes).

Crop zoom

This function allows users to pinch in / out the center of the shooting range, crop it, and record it. Unlike enlarging with digital zoom, it is possible to save with sharp image quality within the specified range. Taking advantage of the abundant number of 61 million pixels, users can create works without spoiling the depiction of details even if the picture is enlarged or cropped. Users can shoot a single focus lens with a maximum magnification of 5x, and it is also compatible with zoom lenses.

Face/Eye Priority AF

In addition to Face Priority, the SIGMA fp series also have Eye Priority AF. The camera will automatically detect the eyes of a human subject, bringing them into focus instantly and precisely.

Low light AF

The SIGMA fp series incorporate the low light AF, which enables AF to work even in a low light condition.

Electronic image stabilization

Comes with the electronic image stabilization (EIS) function. Taking advantage of the electronic shutter, the SIGMA fp is capable of instantaneously taking four frames (two frames for video), comparing them, and creating a composite image into a still image or video with minimum blur.

Enhanced ISO

The SIGMA fp series' native ISO settings range between 100 and 25600. With the enhanced ISO settings, an even larger choice of sensitivity with ISO 6, 12, 25, 50, 51200 and 102400 is available.

Flicker-free shooting

The SIGMA fp series detect and control image flickering, a phenomenon that can occur when shooting with artificial light sources.
