Fujifilm has not just one exciting announcement, but two! Welcome the two newest additions to the Fujifilm X-Series line-up, the Fujinon XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR Lens and the Fujifilm X-S10! The XF10-24mmF4 is an ultra-wide zoom lens with significant design and usability updates to establish itself as a top choice among landscape and nature photographers! While the X-S10 is finding the perfect spot in the Fujifilm line-up, with Fujifilm’s renowned design, engineering and colour science, in a portable and accessible package! Starting with the new Fujinon XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR Lens, it is an ultra-wide zoom lens covering focal lengths from 10mm to 24mm (equivalent to 15mm – 36mm in the 35mm format). The internal structure has been redesigned to make the focus and the zoom rings slimmer, giving the XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR lens a lower overall weight than its predecessor. The Optical Image Stabilization has been extended in the new version by one stop, bringing the total stabilization effect of the new lens to 3.5 stops. It has been updated with an f-stop scale to allow photographers to visually check what aperture the lens is set to, eliminating the need to check through the camera’s EVF or LCD Display. The ring also features an Auto-position lock, similar to that found on Fujifilm’s GF lenses, which is designed to prevent unexpected aperture ring movements, and ultimately ensure the photographer’s shooting efficiency.
The XF10-24mmF4 consists of 14 lens elements, including four aspherical elements and four extra-low dispersion elements, in 10 groups. The aspherical elements are designed to minimize spherical aberration, field curvature and distortion. While the extra-low dispersion elements are designed to correct chromatic aberration, delivering crisp, edge-to-edge sharpness. Despite its compact form factor, the lens can maintain the maximum aperture of F4.0 across its focal length range from the ultra-wide-angle 10mm to wide-angle 24mm (equivalent to 15mm – 36mm in the 35mm format), while still allowing users to keep a constant f-stop value at any focal length.
The front lens element is carefully coated to minimize ghosting, which tends to occur with the extremely concave elements normally found on an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens, to give a high level of image sharpness and clarity. With a minimum working distance of just 24cm (9.5in), the lens is also suitable for macro-style photography. Use the lens to close in on a subject while also taking in the background at the same time, thereby creating powerful images that take maximum advantage of the available ultra-wide-angle focal lengths. The use of lightweight focusing elements and a high-precision motor allows for fast and near-silent AF, even when using it with an X Series cameras’ Face / Eye AF functions. as well, this new lens is both dust and moisture resistant and is able to operate in temperatures as low as -10° C.

A newly designed deep handgrip allows for solid, confident handling with any lens attached, while the intuitive controls ensure effortless operation. With the state-of-the-art X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 combination, it is easy to create astounding results. The 26.1 megapixel backside illuminated sensor offers a wide dynamic range and incredible image quality while, the quad-core CPU not only provides precision autofocus at speeds of up to 0.02 seconds and in light levels as low as -7EV, but also superfast stills and video processing to keep up with your creative needs.
The X-S10 features a five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system that gives you the freedom to go handheld and get right to the heart of the action. The five stops of image stabilization will help keep your images sharp and your video steady no matter what conditions you are faced with. This is quite important when it comes to videography. The X-S10 allows you to record in cinema-quality DCI 4K/30p and super-slow-motion Full HD/240p, and when you combine the five-axis IBIS with a four-axis digital image stabilization feature, you can always be confident that you will get incredibly smooth footage. Add to this 4:2:2 10-bit colour via HDMI, and you have everything you need for professional filmmaking.
