The Nature Photo Guys Test Out The Leofoto WN-03

The Nature Photo Guys have released their latest podcast, and in this one, Chris and Joe take a closer look at the Leofoto WN-03 window mount, a rugged stabilization system designed for wildlife photographers and videographers shooting from inside their vehicles. With Chris increasingly relying on a cinema camera that lacks in-body stabilization, the pair set out to find a smoother, more stable alternative to traditional beanbags for long-lens wildlife filming.

Mounted directly to the side of a vehicle, the Leofoto WN-03 impressed both Chris and Joe with its sturdy aircraft-grade aluminum construction, leather-lined contact points, and adjustable levelling bowl that allows fluid heads to be mounted securely. After testing the setup with large telephoto lenses and fluid video heads, they found the mount offered significantly smoother panning and reduced micro-vibrations compared to handheld or beanbag setups. This is especially important when filming with long focal lengths. An excellent choice for both wildlife videographers and photographers, Chris and Joe called the Leofoto WN-03 a "game changer", as it feels like a major upgrade for vehicle-based wildlife filmmaking and likely become a permanent part of their wildlife kits.
