Most of you know Evelyn from The Camera Store TV, but recently she got the fun opportunity to be a guest on PetaPixel! In this PetaPixel review, Chris Niccolls takes the Antigravity A1, the world's first 360° camera drone, out for a spin for the first time using its VR-like headset for first-person view (or FPV). Evelyn joins to help walk Chris through her experience using the Antigravity A1 and gives her opinions on this unique drone.
Before testing out the Antigravity A1 very recently, Evelyn had never flown a drone before, unlike Chris, who had flown many standard drones but never a FPV drone. With some major differences, such as the VR goggles and the unique controller, Evelyn walks Chris through the initial setup, explaining the VR goggles, wearable battery pack, proprietary cabling, and controller layout. She emphasizes that the control scheme feels more like VR gaming than conventional drone flying, making it intuitive for newcomers. She guides Chris during his first flight, demonstrating the cool features of the Antigravity A1 and that it's a spectacularly intuitive system.
