Casual, compact, intentionally creative! It's the new Nikon Z5IIC, an everyday-carry mirrorless camera that's here to make the move to full-frame photography feel natural and approachable. Built around the proven technology of the Z5II, the Z5IIC pairs a 24.5-megapixel full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with Nikon’s EXPEED 7 processor, delivering rich colour, natural depth and clean detail. The “C” stands for casual, and Nikon has packed the Z5IIC with features aimed at making photography easier and more fun, including 15 Scene Modes that automatically optimize settings for everything from portraits and pets to food, night landscapes and twilight. The wildest part of this camera? There’s no electronic viewfinder, offering a smaller, flat-top body centred around its 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen, inviting users to fully connect to what’s going on around them. Are you ready to try a more expressive way of shooting?

The new Nikon Z5IIC is made for handheld shooting! The smooth, streamlined flat-top design slips easily in and out of a bag, while the large, bright 3.2-inch vari-angle monitor allows shooting from a variety of positions, from low angles to over-the-head shots and even flips around for vlogging and selfies. The camera features five-axis in-camera vibration reduction (VR) image stabilization with up to 7.5 stops of stabilization. Its 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor, EXPEED 7 image-processing engine and advanced shooting capabilities deliver the impressive image quality and responsiveness users expect from a more advanced camera. Despite its full-frame sensor, the Z5IIC weighs just 620g (21.9 oz) and features a durable magnesium-alloy construction with dust- and drip-resistant design elements.
The Z5IIC's intuitive controls and automated features help first-time mirrorless users create beautiful photos and video, without the need to master complex camera settings. As their confidence and skills grow, the camera’s deeper controls and access to the NIKKOR Z lens system provide a dependable platform they can continue using for years. For the first time in a Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera, Scene Modes simplify the process of choosing the right settings for different subjects and situations. Users can simply select the scene that best matches what they are photographing, and the camera automatically optimizes colour, brightness, white balance, Picture Control and other imaging settings. Fifteen Scene modes are available, ranging from portraits, pets and food to more challenging situations such as night landscapes and twilight, helping users capture each scene with settings tailored to the moment.

A dedicated button provides quick access to Imaging Recipes, while the Film Grain function adds an adjustable nostalgic look to photos and video. Deep-learning autofocus can detect and track people, dogs, cats, birds, vehicles, aircraft and fish, and for first-time full-frame users, reliable subject detection removes the guesswork, making it easier to capture sharp photos and video of fast-moving children, pets, sports and everyday moments. AUTO mode analyzes the subject and scene, then automatically optimizes autofocus, aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity. This gives newer photographers a dependable starting point, helping them achieve satisfying results immediately while learning more advanced controls at their own pace.
There’s plenty here for action shooters too, with continuous shooting up to approximately 14 fps, or up to 30 fps using High-Speed Frame Capture+. Pre-Release Capture can record up to one second before the shutter is fully released, helping make sure those fleeting moments aren’t missed. Video creators get 4K UHD at up to 60 fps, Full HD at 120 fps, as well as slow-motion recording at 4× and 5×, making it easy to produce impressive short-form videos without post-processing. Product Review Mode smoothly shifts focus to an item brought close to the camera, while support for H.265 10-bit (MOV) and N-Log helps users take the next step into more advanced video production. Recording of N-RAW video to an SD memory card is supported, as well as N-LOG capture. UVC/UAC support also makes the Z5IIC suitable for straightforward USB live streaming.
