Modern Meets Retro With The New FUJIFILM X-E5

Fujifilm is introducing a reinvented classic with the all-new FUJIFILM X-E5 digital camera! This analog-inspired, rangefinder-style camera, merges the iconic appearance of the X100VI with the versatility of interchangeable lenses, creating the ultimate everyday tool for creative, stills photographers. Boasting a premium-quality, compact design, it features the latest 40.2-megapixel X-Trans 5 HR imaging sensor, a digital teleconverter, up to seven stops of in-body image stabilization, a customizable Film Simulation dial, an electronic viewfinder, and AI-powered subject detection autofocus. The X-E5 is the only gear you’ll need to capture stunning images, no matter where your photographic adventures may lead you.

The new FUJIFILM X-E5 is an absolute stunner, taking cues from the FUJIFILM X100VI in both appearance and size, but with the added creative benefit of interchangeable lenses. It maintains the same analog controls and film-camera-inspired user experience while allowing you to swap lenses to match your creative vision. Compatible with more than 40 X Mount optics and accessories, including the new XF23mmF2.8 R WR, capturing the perfect shot has never been more achievable.

Mirroring the timeless design of rangefinder film cameras, the X-E5 showcases an offset viewfinder and an elegant machined aluminum top-plate, which is both visually striking and incredibly durable. Ideal for those who prefer traditional camera operation, the X-E5 offers analog controls for quick and easy access to essential functions. Additional features, such as the Bluetooth connectivity button located on the base like a film rewind button, further enhance the camera’s nostalgic charm.

A groundbreaking feature for X Series cameras, the X-E5 includes a customizable Film Simulation dial, conveniently placed under the aluminum top-plate with a circular window for easy mode viewing. This dial grants fast access to Fujifilm’s unique Film Simulation modes and offers three customizable settings, allowing users to create and save their own presets for immediate use in the field. A rear tilting monitor brings modern functionality with the ability to flip it upward and forward facing up to 180 degrees, accommodating a wide variety of compositions, from high to low angle, as well as selfies. The X-E5 also boasts a detailed electronic viewfinder that not only lets you see every detail when framing your shots but also provides additional functions that simulate an optical viewfinder experience. These functions include three Surround View modes, which enable the selection of a black, semi-transparent, or line outline showing the image’s aspect ratio and what lies outside it, helping photographers better anticipate subjects entering the frame. Additionally, a Simple View option mimics the viewfinder of an analog film SLR.

The X-E5's in-body image stabilization (IBIS) allows you to shoot confidently and create stunning images, even in low-light conditions. Offering up to seven stops of stabilization at the center of the frame and six stops at the edges, the IBIS system features a new algorithm and an upgraded gyro sensor to deliver enhanced performance, ensuring that crucial images remain free from camera shake. With the latest 40.2-megapixel X-Trans 5 HR sensor and the X-Processor 5 imaging engine, the X-E5 offers additional capabilities, including a lower base ISO of 125 and advanced, deep-learning AI-powered subject detection autofocus across a wider range of subjects, all with impeccable quality. This higher resolution also enables a two-step digital teleconverter feature, which crops into the sensor to provide a 1.4x or 2x zoom, offering even greater in-camera flexibility for photographers.

With the FUJIFILM X-E5, every photographic endeavour becomes an opportunity to capture extraordinary images with unparalleled precision and style, making it an essential addition to any photographer's arsenal.
