The Hasselblad Masters, one of the world’s most prestigious professional art competitions, is now open for its 2023 submissions! Since it was established in 2001, the Hasselblad Masters competition has been dedicated to providing a platform for extraordinary photographers worldwide, giving professionals, including you, the chance to make their mark in the world of photography!
The Hasselblad Masters is open for submissions now February 29, 2024. Featuring six categories, focusing on the essence of visual art, exceptional image quality, authentic colours, storytelling, and creativity. One category, Project//21, aims to provide an accessible platform unconstrained by themes and genres for photographers under the age of 21! Each entry must consist of three photos per category that you wish to enter and you’re allowed to enter as many categories as you like, with each entry judged on the three submitted images in that category.
Don’t have a Hasselblad? Don’t worry, a Hasselblad camera is not required to enter the competition. Submissions can be made using any camera brand, film or digital (excluding drones, smartphones and tablets).
Now, we can’t forget the prizes! Winners will receive a Hasselblad 100-megapixel mirrorless medium format camera, along with two XCD Series lenses, and a creative fund of EUR 5,000. In addition, Hasselblad will invite winners to fulfill their personal photography ventures using Hasselblad cameras. Select works will then be published in the commemorative Hasselblad Masters book.
