Fujifilm's First Filmmaking Camera Is Coming

Calling all filmmakers and Fujifilm enthusiasts! Fujifilm has just revealed that they are developing their very first filmmaking camera, the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA. Slated for release in 2025, this groundbreaking camera will boast a large-format GFX 102MP CMOS II HS sensor, approximately 1.7 times larger than a 35mm sensor, along with the cutting-edge X-Processor 5 image processing engine. This powerful combination allows filmmakers to capture stunningly lifelike visuals and offers increased flexibility in post-production. These are the same top-tier components found in the GFX100 II, known for its outstanding image quality with 102 million pixels. How exciting is this!?

For more than 90 years, Fujifilm has been providing reliable products for the film production industry and beyond. The GFX ETERNA is poised to revolutionize the filmmaking world by merging Fujifilm's deep expertise and experience with the advanced technology of the GFX series and the superior performance of Fujinon lenses. Aptly named “GFX ETERNA,” this camera aims to usher in a new era of filmmaking, dedicated to creating timeless cinematic masterpieces.

Fujifilm will unveil the GFX ETERNA as a reference exhibit at the prestigious media event InterBEE 2024, scheduled to take place from November 13th to 15th, 2024.
