Firmware Updates for Leica SL-System and Leica Q3 Family

Leica has officially released firmware update version 4.0.0 for the Leica SL-System and the Leica Q3 family. These updates deliver major improvements that enhance performance and refine the photo and video experience for users.

The new firmware 4.0.0 brings a host of improvements to the Leica SL3 and SL3-S cameras. The upgraded hybrid autofocus is faster and more precise, improving detection of people and animals. System speeds have also been refined, and the SL3 now offers a new Multishot mode, allowing full-frame image capture at up to 240 megapixels. Additionally, these models now support direct cloud integration with Adobe Frame.io, enabling a seamless professional editing workflow.

The Leica Q3 family gains significant advantages with the new firmware version 4.0.0 as well. The update features an overhauled user interface, inspired by the well-regarded design of the SL3. Users will notice newly designed icons, an optimized structure, faster menu navigation, and improved touch interaction. Enhanced autofocus and configurable Leica Looks add even more ways to customize and streamline the shooting process.
