For those who have been patiently waiting for the newest Atomos Ninja V firmware update, the wait is over! Oh, and guess what, it will support the new Sony A7S III! Now you can take the exceptional 4K video of the A7S III and combine it with the Ninja V to get 4Kp30 RAW, 10-bit ProRes 422 and more!
This combination of the new full-frame mirrorless Sony A7S III camera and the Ninja V HDR monitor-recorder enables a powerful ultra high-resolution RAW video workflow. The image data can be recorded to the Ninja V in Apple ProRes RAW, fully capturing the wide dynamic range of the A7S III’s state-of-the-art Sony sensor for the maximum detail and latitude in post-production from the camera’s large photosites. Alternatively, you can record production-ready Apple ProRes or Avis DNx video at up to 4k59.94p at 10-bit.
For the first time in a Sony mirrorless camera, you can now record full-frame 10-bit 422 Log or Rec.709 video from the A7S III at up to 4Kp60 directly into Apple ProRes or Avid DNx codecs. This allows for practical data rates and perfect for shoots where these production codecs are required for workflow or speed of turnaround.
The stable operation and long RAW record times that the Ninja V brings to the A7S III make it a brilliant tool for almost any production. Combined with a high-quality HDR monitor display and assist tools, cost-effective media and a perfect form factor – it makes this product partnership a no brainer for your camera.
