A Love Letter to Photography

Thirteen years ago, Clare Gibson started a photo-a-day challenge as a means of doing something creative each and every day. What Clare didn't expect was for it to become her sanctuary, a mental escape, and the beginning of A Love Letter to Photography, her feature-length documentary showing the value of photography as a method of self-care. Featuring incredible photographers who live with the challenges of mental health, Clare will be travelling to film this project throughout 2025 and is looking for funding to help support her project. This is where you can help!

Clare Gibson's A Love Letter to Photography will explore the reasons why photography is good for the soul. Clare will authentically highlight the personal stories of people living with mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, and how photography has become a way of life both for artistic endeavours as well as a method of self-care.

Clare is seeking funding to support her project, as she will be travelling to the UK to film and interview photographers featured in her documentary. If you are a lover of photography, a supporter of mental health, and would like to contribute to Clare's incredible project, please click here
