Four interchangeable input capsules—X/Y, MS, Shotgun, and Dual XLR/TRS Combo— allow the Zoom H6 to adapt to any situation, and its advanced preamps mean that your sound quality is never compromised. Whatever your application—live recording, professional film/video work, broadcast ENG, etc, the H6 can handle it with ease.

Whether you slide it onto your camera strap or attach it directly to your DSLR with our Hot Shoe mount, the H6 is the essential audio recorder for location videography. Its supplied MSH-6 mic capsule and onboard MS decoding, plus the ability to record up to 6 tracks simultaneously, gives you plenty of options in post-production.

The Zoom H6 six offers up to 6 channels, including backup record of the L/R channels. There are four XLR-1/4" combo jack inputs, which can be expanded to 6 inputs. The H6 also features a line out jack, as well as a separate headphone jack, so you can output directly to a camera that doesn't have a headphone jack, and simultaneously monitor your audio. Record up to 24bit 96kHz WAV files and 320kbps MP3s. Never miss a sound with the built in pre-record, back-up recording, and auto recording functions.
PRE-RECORD
With Pre-Record enabled, the H6 will continuously record in the background, so as soon as you hit the record button, the prior 2 seconds are added on at the start of your recording. This is essential for recording events and sound effects, to ensure you never miss the perfect take.
BACK-UP RECORDING
Back-up recording is the ultimate fall-back. With this feature enabled while recording WAVs, your L/R tracks are automatically duplicated, but at 12dB lower than the recording volume. This not only ensures you don't miss your take, but also serves as a clean recording in the event that an unexpectedly loud noise makes your levels peak and distort your audio.
AUTO-RECORD
The Auto-Record function on the H6 will automatically record as soon as sound above a level you set is picked up by the recorder. You can also enable an Auto-Stop function, so recording ends as soon as audio falls below the level you set. This is an excellent way for musicians and vloggers to record hands-free.
