My good friend and expert street portraitist, Mark Reierson, and I worked for 3 intense days to cover a rural rodeo that has been in presenting their competition for exactly 100 years! I have many family connections to this event and had been taking pictures here since I was very young. This was Mark's first and he did a wonderful job getting intimate details and many beautiful portraits. I stuck to my guns and concentrated on an arty version of sports and we shared duty on documentary subjects.
