The includedmicrophone unit was developed by Audio-Technica, which is praised forits superb technical abilities. Compared to the built-in microphone, alarger diameter, approx. 10 mm microphone is used for recording naturalsounds with a great deal of information across the entire range, fromlows to highs. Because you can record robust sounds in the mid range,this microphone is perfect for shooting musical performances. Also, bymaking the microphone acoustically unidirectional, it features smoothsound field changes when moving from one point to another. Attaching theincluded wind screen helps block noise caused by wind when recordingoutside for more stable outdoor recording.
