Creating outstanding wildlife images begins with capturing great raw format images, but it ends with effectively using the best processing tools possible to tease out every bit of detail and quality in those raw images. In this presentation, we’ll provide an overview of some of the most important considerations in processing raw wildlife images using Capture One, including why it is used by many top professional wildlife photographers from around the globe.
Getting the most out of your raw images requires a solid knowledge of what CAN be done with them, as well as knowing what SHOULD be done to them. In this session we’ll show how quickly and efficiently you can globally or selectively adjust the key characteristics of wildlife images, including adjusting exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, clarity, colour and more with Capture One. Just as importantly, we’ll discuss the issue that confounds many wildlife photographers - WHEN each of these adjustments should be made! So you’ll learn not only how to reduce the brightness - and increase the softness - of the background behind your subject, but also when it should be done!
But be forewarned - this presentation may trigger an obsession with the process of making your wildlife images look their absolute best, and forever change how you evaluate and process your own raw captures! Our apologies in advance.
